Empowering Women In Trucking with Ellen Voie

CarriersPublished on July 24, 2018

Recently we had the honor of hosting Ellen Voie, founder, President, and CEO of Women In Trucking Association (WIT) at Convoy HQ. WIT’s mission is to encourage the employment of women in the trucking industry, promote their accomplishments, and minimize obstacles faced by women working in the trucking industry.

Ellen holds a Class A commercial driver’s license and has been an advocate for women empowerment in the trucking industry since 1980. She has been included in Supply & Demand Chain Executives magazine’s “Pros to Know,” and was recognized as one of Fleet Owner’s Dozen Outstanding Women In Trucking. Ellen’s impact is recognized even outside of the trucking industry. In 2012 she was honored by the White House as a “Transportation Innovator Champion of Change.”

It was a privilege to hear from her first-hand and brainstorm ways technology can better help women thrive in trucking today.
