Dear Health Warriors,
As we cruise into Week 4 of our Highway to Health series, I want to focus on fitness! Admittedly, I’ve spent a lot of time talking about food because it’s 85-90 percent of the battle when it comes to health/wellness. You’ve got to get the nutrition dialed in or else the exercise is all for naught. You can do double workouts every day but if you’re eating donuts and drinking soda to support your work then your results are going to be flat.
That said, I know you are going to keep following my advice and eat all of the real, whole foods I’ve prescribed up until this point, because this week we’re going to find your workout wheel house. What do I mean by that? Well, there are a lot of great options out there for working out right now, and some especially good online options that you can do while on the road. It’s just a matter of finding the thing that speaks to you and is in your wheel house, so to speak. Maybe you’re a cardio guy/gal, or maybe you prefer strictly weights. Maybe you thought you hated exercising, but didn’t realize how good a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout could make you feel in just 45 minutes? We’re going to be posting some great resources and workout ideas (for on the road and at home) that we hope will inspire you to find the workout that motivates you to start a fitness routine or elevate your existing one.
In closing, here are five reasons that make working out routinely worth it!
1. Increases energy levels.
2. Inspires confidence and drives capability.
3. Improves relationships with romantic partners.
4. Enhances emotional well-being.
5. Drives healthy food choices.
What are yours? If you don’t currently exercise and have a list, let’s find a reason to make one this week.
Cheers to your health,Michelle
