Sustainability experts and business leaders answer fundamental questions about carbon emissions in new Convoy video series
The way the world makes, moves, and sells goods is changing. Businesses are being asked to meet growing consumer demand faster, easier, and cheaper – while at the same time diminish the impact of their operations.
Convoy’s network scale and efficiency puts us in a unique position. We work together with shippers and truck drivers to solve big, shared challenges – saving time, money, and resources, while creating value for society.
Convoy’s mission
Sustainability is core to our business: hauling millions of truckloads of freight across the country while reducing billions of waste. On Earth day we launched our Carbon Emissions Savings counter, showing the cumulative carbon emissions we’ve prevented from entering the atmosphere. Last week, Convoy was named the Transportation Winner for Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas Award. Today, we are launching a new video interview series, “The Business of Carbon Emissions,” to amplify the sustainability conversation by demonstrating how sustainability and business impact are directly aligned.
Eliminating waste is good for shippers, carriers, and our environment. Every truck Convoy shifts to optimized reloads and algorithmic batching reduces annual carbon emissions by 15,725 pounds of CO2 —the equivalent of planting 118 trees or taking 1.5 cars off the road each year.
